No.6

The Guide
by Ashvin Varghese.

NO.6

Your friendly and very informative neighbour is back. Oh, forgive me for forgetting my manners, hello and I wish all of you are healthy and well. I am officially back in business with numero sixo. I said in my last update on this blog that I will change certain aspects to my creative writing. I have decided to slash the word count on the build up to the interviews as I find a lot of readers seem to find it too long and they usually skip straight to the juicy bits.

Well I’ll take that into account for this episode and go on a word diet, let’s see how that works out. Here goes, No.6 was introduced to me by a mutual friend. So no scouting adventures here. I am really starting to get the hang of these mutual friend intros. It makes life so much easier, for me at least and is much much more how I shall put it “civil”. The mutual friend brought up the tales of my adventures to No.6, well before she became No.6, anyhow she immediately wanted in and the rest is evident. I classily choreographed the milieu for our interview. What better way than to interview a person in a café over some drinks, Earl Grey tea on a cold day is a good combo.

Oh yes before I forget and appear to be a rude oaf, I would to thank the friend involved for setting all this up and for her support on my writing. Now let’s get to the important details of the interview. No.6 is form the Middle East where a lot of really gorgeous women come from, specifically she is from Saudi Arabia. Lucky me I suppose.  It’s a foreign point of view again and I hope you Malaysian men are tuned in. On the outside No.6 has a petite frame and I think a lot of men find that attractive and cute, accompanied with that frame, she has this dark chocolate yet bronzy skin tone which was rather supple and comforting, very attractive none the less. For religious purposes she was wearing a hijab so I could not get a proper view of her crowning glory but in fairness the hijab compliments her very well, it brings out a rather mysterious and elemental aura around her. On the attractive index, No.6 rates at the number 2 (a notch above attractive).

Financially No.6 rates herself at the number 2 (Means to live comfortably), but I am guessing she is being modest and am not stereotyping the fact that a lot of Saudis are hyper rich. Anyhow, No.6 as an individual was just wow. She really impressed me and it’s in my opinion that this is the best interview I have had thus far. Imagine me going to meet a gorgeous individual with a purpose of picking her thoughts and then gets completely blown away by the depth of our conversation till the point of me forgetting to interview her, and the icing on the cake had to be the TEA. It was such a pleasure to have a really meaningful conversation over TEA.

We ended up talking for over an hour and the topics were really broad ranging from computers to politics with some spiritual elements in between. No.6 is an aspiring computer engineer, the women uses Ubuntu and Linux for heaven’s sake. I know right, I have never met any woman who understands such a thing let alone use it, my nerd torrents were on overdrive. After some extensive conversation, I find that there is a real rebel vibe to her, which I find attractive in any women. But still, the coolest fact has to be the part where you can talk to her about computers, hardware and software. Yes I am a NERD.

I guess I am not keeping up with my promise by going on a word diet, so I shall proceed to the actual interview:

Q&A Session

1.       What do you think about Malaysian men? Give your personal opinion based on your experience thus far.

So here’s an interesting foreign perspective, No.6 blatantly says that Malaysian men seem very girly or feminine. Wh..What? She goes on to say that Malaysian men seem very unapproachable in general. Specifically she says that the major populous among the diverse sects in Malaysian tend to be very narrow minded. She however finds the minority to be much more approachable. The good news is she does find Malaysian men in general rather good looking. Yes things are looking up!

2.              Based on your experience do you find it hard for guys to approach you?

This attractive dark bronze beauty finds herself to be very approachable and loves meeting new people. Bottom-line pretty girls don’t bite!

3.                What’s your Ideal guy?

She likes guys who are tall, dark and handsome. Adding to those criteria, someone who loves new adventures such as jumping of a plan and stuff like that. No.6 admits that looks do matter to some extent. She also likes her men to be in the range of 7% body fat, yes that perfectly normal I presume. So guys if you fancy a woman who knows her way around a computer, I would suggest you to get a gym membership. Lastly, No.6 dislikes men with long hair, so most urban dudes are out of the picking.

4.                What is the lamest pick up line has a guy used on you?

“Hello can I have your number”, yeah am not sure that counts as a pickup line but we’ll just go with it. That might probably work if you were in 1940’s. Verdict, don’t attempt this as your first choice of words.

5.                  Has/Will a pick up line ever work on you?

Yes, it will work but it depends on how creative it is and how confidently a person uses it. So be creative and be confident.

6.                  What is your favourite body part in the male anatomy?

“Chest, Jaw line and Adams apple”. I frowned at the last one, never in my wildest imagination (which is quite wild), I would perceive that a bump on the neck would be considered attractive. So gentlemen, if you have dominant apples flaunt em.

7.           Do you find it offensive when guys comment on how much makeup you wear?

No.6 takes some time to ponder about this one and she comes to a conclusion that she does find this quite offensive. She defended her opinion by stating that these random comments would give her the vibe of being plastic or artificial. I guess it really depends on how a person approaches her. At this moment its 50:50 based on the interviews I have conducted so far. Some find this offensive and some don’t.

8.                  What kind of stereotype would you like to change that you think Malaysian men have?

No.6 has been in our lovely country for the past 3 years and based on her experience thus far she finds that the majority ethnicity of Malaysian men tend have a concept that international people are distinct or appear to be as unapproachable. When I look at it now, I feel it’s the other way around but that’s me.

9.                  Love at first sight or lust at first sight, why?
She strongly feels that it’s always lust at first sight. She says that the way you carry yourself plays an immense role on how a possible relationship should shape up. That’s some decent advise.

10.              Do you find it offensive when guys watch porn
This woman finds it offensive. She diplomatically informs me that this habit is rather childish. No.6 hints that why watch porn when you can get the real thing especially when you’re in an intimate relationship. Ultimately this is her opinion but she is willing to accept it if that’s what the opposed party needs or wants. That’s a matured response.

Bonus Question

1.      What do you think of women who get breast implants?

“What’s the point in being someone you’re not”, she said something like that. She has never liked the idea but its their choice and if it makes them happy so be it. The world would be a better place if everyone is happy I guess, theoretically.

2.      What are your opinions on nude beaches?

A good way to release stress and let loose she says. I asked her if she would engage in it and she said no, strongly because it’s against her religious beliefs. You got to respect her honesty and integrity.

Okay that’s it. My word diet failed miserably hence I have to make it up here. I hope you guys enjoyed the read and most importantly tell me what you think on my work. Notice, after I finish with my tenth candidate I will tabulate the data based on some of the questions in the interview. Most of it will be the positive and negative feedback just so you guys have the stats.  Lastly I would to thank No.6 for agreeing to contribute her time and enthusiasm for the interview.  Till next time folks.
